IPL Treatment for Vascular Lesions

What is IPL treatment?

The IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment is based on the emission of high-intensity light focused at the skin's permeability. It emits multi-color waves with a wavelength range of 512-1200nm. The treatment focuses on cellular regeneration rather than the production of burn wounds. Two energy routes, light and heat, preferentially target fibroblasts while restructuring existing elastin and collagen constituents. It is a painless and non-invasive method of rejuvenation. Because of the head's size, vast surfaces can be handled quickly.

What are the indications for IPL treatment?

  • Tissue regeneration and collagen and elastin growth are two of the benefits of IPL treatment.
  • Color shifts (freckles, spots)
  • Lesions on the arteries
  • Skin that has been exposed to the sun
  • Acne scars are treated at the cellular level to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

How does IPL treatment affect vascular lesions?

Vascular lesions (varicose veins, hemangiomas) are benign lesions that are neither caused by or associated with a pathological condition. IPL treatment selectively kills these lesions by turning light into heat energy without causing extra damage to the surrounding tissues or the rest of the skin.

What is the purpose of IPL treatment and how many sessions are required?

The IPL treatment is suitable for both men and women of all ages. Each patient's treatment program is tailored to their specific needs and skin type. A total of 5 to 8 sessions are required, with a 20 to 30 day break between them.
